What’s next for Bath Division?

As many of you know, I have completed my term as Division Commissioner for Bath.

It has been a real privilege to be your commissioner for the last five years and I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in this role – particularly our County Commissioner, Rosemary, and our fantastic Division Exec, who continually give of their time, knowledge and creativity to lead the Division forward at this challenging time.

You should all have received an email from Rosemary explaining that we don’t have a new Division Commissioner to take over yet, so we are putting an interim structure in place to support you all.

Diana Shinn, who many of you will know from 39th Bath (St Alphege’s) Brownies and her role as our Division Residential Advisor, has agreed to be the Division Administrator whilst we work to recruit a new Division Commissioner. You can contact Diana via admin@girlguidingbath.org.uk. However, please contact your DC with questions, risk assessments, RENs etc as normal in the first instance.

If you are interested in exploring what is involved in the role of Division Commissioner, please contact Rosemary at countycommissioner@girlguidingsomersetnorth.org.uk. If there is someone you know who you think would be a great Division Commissioner, we’d like to hear from you too!

I will continue to support the Division with communications, so I will still see lots of you around. You may also hear from me in the next few days as I finish up some outstanding tasks to help hand everything over.

Thank you again for all your support over the last five years – it has really meant a lot and I look forward to seeing Girlguiding in Bath go from strength to strength!
