Happy 100th Birthday St Luke’s Brownies!

1st Bath (St Luke’s) Brownies celebrated their unit’s 100th birthday this month with a Zoom party for members and volunteers past and present, including one former Brownie who joined us all the way from New Zealand!

The girls chose games and activities for their party, including Guess Who, a scavenger hunt, cake decorating and campfire singing with candles. We also exchanged memories and pictures of the many happy experiences the unit has given members over its long history.

Each guest received a party bag, which included a party hat, candle and some flower seeds they could plant to commemorate the occasion.

We welcomed many special guests, including Brown Owl Pam, who ran the unit for over 40 years, our County Commissioner and President, and our Region Chief Commissioner, Carole Pennington, who presented the girls with a special badge.

We intend to continue celebrating our centenary year with a sleepover and face-to-face party when lockdown restrictions allow. However, Zoom allowed us to include many former members who may not have been able to attend in person.

Congratulations to all the girls and volunteers on reaching this amazing milestone together!
