At our Division Air and Share meeting, we asked our volunteers to share the activities that their girls have enjoyed the most during their online meetings.

Kiera from 1st Bath (St Luke’s) Brownies shared this messy yoghurt painting activity, which kept the girls entranced during a recent Zoom meeting.

To make a yoghurt painting, you need:

  • 2 or 3 pieces of card or paper (any colour)
  • a big pot of plain yoghurt
  • food colouring
  • paint brushes / tools to paint with (optional – if in doubt, paint with your fingers!)
  • a hard work surface to work on.

The Brownies mixed their own “paint” using yoghurt and food colouring, and used their fingers and paintbrushes to create their works of art.

This was a really relaxing activity to do together over Zoom and works with any age group.  We combined painting with chatting about our weeks and sharing news stories.
