Act your age
As an official partner of BBC Children in Need, to celebrate Pudsey’s 40th year Girlguiding is asking our volunteers, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers to Act Their Age, this year’s BBC Children in Need fundraising call to action.
What you can do
It is easy to get involved, simply take your age and do something good with it. Whether you use your own age, the combined age of your unit, the collective age of your family or the age of something special…. it can be turned into a fundraiser.
It could be a distance you cover, the duration you do something for, the number of things you do or your sponsorship target. Whatever it is you do, as a unit or individually, you’ll be helping to change the lives of girls and all young people across the UK.
It is important that Government and Girlguiding Covid-19 guidelines are adhered to during any fundraising challenge.
All money raised will be split between BBC Children in Need and Girlguiding.
Sharing your achievements
Remember to tell us what your unit has been up to so we can share it on the Division website and via social media.
Send photos (with permission) and stories from the girls to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to hear what the girls do and how much they manage to raise locally!
How to get the badge
The Children in Need badge can be ordered from the Bath Guide Shop. They cost £1.50 each, with 50% of the profit going to BBC Children in Need.
How to pay in your donations
All money raised should be paid via the Act Your Age with Girlguiding and BBC Children in Need JustGiving page.
Friends and family can make donations directly to reduce the need for the girls to collect cash directly.
