A Tropical Christmas with 9th Bath Guides

by | Dec 17, 2017

9th Bath (Beechen Cliff) Guides held a tropical themed coffee evening to raise money for the Girlguiding branches in the Caribbean that were affected by Hurricane Irma earlier this term.

The girls were moved by hearing about the four of Girlguiding’s five branches in the Caribbean that were hit by Hurricane Irma, three of them directly. They wanted to help contribute to Girlguiding’s fundraising efforts to help restore a little bit of normality for the girls affected.

The unit raised £70 at their coffee evening, where guests could play a range of Caribbean-themed games and activities that the girls prepared throughout the term. These included Pin the Tail on the Lizard, Coconut Bowling, a Anguilla-themed treasure hunt, face/hand painting, and sampling the girls’ tropical punch.

Well done to all the girls (and their leaders!) for a very enjoyable evening!
