Happy Birthday 33rd Bath Brownies!

by | Nov 19, 2017

33rd Bath (St Bartholomew’s) Brownies celebrated their 60th birthday this week with a village fair themed party.

The girls took part in a treasure hunt to find tokens that they could spend at various stalls, including a raffle, guess the name of the bear and dressing up. They decorated a commemorative banner and played games together with their friends, family, and special Girlguiding guests. The girls were particularly excited to meet Bath Division President Pam Bourne-Jones, who ran the unit when she first came to Bath many years ago.

The party featured a screening of a film written and performed by the girls especially for the occasion. The girls had great fun playing with the camera and audio equipment during the filming and were very proud to show their film to their parents over a hot chocolate.

The Brownies would like to thank everyone who came to the party, Coop on Moorland Road for contributing the party food, and to the local businesses on Moorland Road who contributed prizes for the raffle. Special thanks go to “Mr Snowy Owl”, who shot and edited their film.
