Rainbows and Brownies visit Longleat

by | Mar 19, 2017

In September 51st Bath Brownies were asked for their ideas of things to do at Brownies in the year ahead; the girls said they wanted to visit a zoo/farm, so their leaders arranged a visit to Longleat and asked 51st Bath Rainbows to come along.

The girls started off going through the safari, where they saw the cheetah cubs, and went on the jungle cruise to see the seals, hippos and gorillas. They wandered through the bird enclosure where the birds landed on them. The keepers kindly gave the girls free fish for the seals and food for the birds.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed their day out, which also included a ride on the train, holding snakes and tarantulas, a trip through the bat cave and time in the play park.

They ran out of time to do the rest, but took some great photos of their adventures…
