Guides take to the water

9th Guides had a great day sailing in the sunshine.

The Guides helped get the dingy ready to sail, went out on the water and did some shore based activities about water safety. They had a lot of fun doing something quite different and were really lucky with the weather. The leaders also enjoyed getting out on the water.

Girlguiding Somerset own a dingy specifically for Girlguiding units to use, it’s located down near Yeovil and took us about an hour from Bath. Their website is here (https://girlguidingsomerset.org.uk/somerspirit/) and it’s incredibly easy to organise as they’ve done all the risk assessment and you can just book an available slot online.
