We hope that you are looking forward to a positive 2022 with more opportunities for fun and adventure.
If your New Year’s Resolution is to make a difference in your local community, we can help!
We’re looking for volunteers to help keep the Girlguiding in Bath running smoothly. Whether you can give a few hours a week or a few hours a year, there’s a support role for you. Many roles are flexible and can be done in your PJs!
Roles include…
Welcome Team
Could you provide a warm welcome to new volunteers? The welcome team introduce volunteers to potential units and make sure they’re supported through their pre- recruitment checks, increasing the chance that they join us.
Safe Practice Team
This team co-ordinate and carry out DBS checks for new and existing volunteers. They also keep a track of safe space and first aid training that is due, all to keep our members safe.
Finance Team
The finance team make sure we comply with Girlguiding’s financial reporting requirements. They provide support for accounts checking, and make sure accounts and financial details are submitted.
GO Team
The GO team provide a helping hand to make sure girl enquiries are managed well. They also make any changes needed to volunteer roles.
Communications Team
We know we provide amazing opportunities for girls in Bath. The communications team make sure that other people hear about it. They use social media and newsletters to communicate volunteers and organise recruitment events.
Unit Roles
We have roles available in Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger units across the city, where you can try new things, learn skills and be a role model for girls.
If you (or someone you know!) would like to get involved, please get in touch to find out more. Even if all you can do is share our leaflet with your friends and family, that will be a real help!
