Girlguiding’s annual membership fee for 2021 for units in Bath will be £28.70 per member.

The membership fee pays for the resources and support services we all benefit from, including our insurance, training, and programme resources at national level, through to events and recruitment efforts at local level.

Your unit should budget to pay £28.70 per member (adults and girls) who’s main role is in your unit team on GO on 22nd February 2021.  

 

How is the membership fee calculated?

 

The membership fee is calculated as follows:

Girlguiding HQ £17.70
Girlguiding South West England Region £10.50
Girlguiding Somerset North County £0.50
Girlguiding Bath Division £0
Your District £0

 

Why is it lower than normal?

This is lower than in previous years for the following reasons:

  • Girlguiding Somerset North is using funds from a bequest from Betty Charters to subsidise the County subscription.
  • Girlguiding Bath is using Division reserve funds and unspent income from the 2020 subscription to cover our local activities in 2021, instead of charging a Division subsciption.
  • All four Districts in Bath are using unspent income from the 2020 suscription to cover their activities in 2021.

 

What if my unit needs financial help?

We know that many units will struggle with the annual subscription this year as a result of COVID19. We hope that efforts at County, Division and District level to keep the subscription to an absolute minimum will help.

The Division Executive has also decided to offer a refund of £2.50 per member to help units at this difficult time.  Details about how to claim this refund will be available in the new year.

If you think your unit will not be able to pay its full subscription, please contact your District Commissioner as soon as possible.  Additional financial support from the Division will be available for units in difficulty, but applications must be received by the end of January.
