Spread a little Christmas happiness

St John’s Ambulance have launched’ the Kindness Cards Project’ aimed at relieving loneliness and isolation for the residents of care homes, who may have gone months without seeing friends and family.

Local solicitors Mogers Drewett are doing something similar and distribute to local care homes. If your unit would like to get involved please write an extra Christmas card or a letter if you prefer or if you love to draw create a Christmas picture and the Mogers Drewett Later Life Team will distribute them to local care homes.

Getting involved is simple:

  • Start your card with ‘Dear Residents’ or ‘To someone special’ and go from there – you could talk about what you enjoy, what you are looking forward to next year, what you hope to do this Christmas or anything want really! Just remember not to include any personal details such as addresses or full names.
  • Send your card to Mogers Drewett office in Bath St James House, The Square, Lower Bristol Road, Bath, BA2 3BH.
  • The team will take care of the rest! The cards will be distributed to care homes across the region in time for Christmas.
