Bath Leader Receives Silver Oak Leaf Award

We were delighted to welcome several special visitors to our Thanks and Recognition afternoon tea this Sunday, including Sarah French (South West England Region Deputy Commissioner) and Ruth Sara (South West England Region President) who came to present a Silver Oak Leaf award to our County Commissioner, Rosemary Kerr.

Rosemary is a local leader with 16th Bath (Walcot) Rainbows, so we were absolutely delighted to host the presentation of this thoroughly deserved award. This award recognises Rosemary’s dedication to Girlguiding at all level and reflects the enormous amount of time, energy and creativity she has given to Girlguiding in Bath and beyond over the years. This has included running Rainbows, Brownies and Guide units, serving as District and Division Commissioner for Bath, orchestrating our move to Bath Guide HQ in Walcot Street, managing the Bath Guide Shop, and leading the charge to recruit student volunteers to help our units in Bath.

Rosemary is an inspirational volunteer and we warmly congratulate her on receiving the Region’s Silver Oak Leaf Award.
