We are really excited to see the students moving into the city this weekend. We are looking forward to welcoming back our existing student volunteers, and getting to know this year’s freshers.

Whether you are new or returning student at the University of Bath, Bath Spa University or Norland College, here are a few opportunities just for you:

BUGS

Bath University Guide and Scouts (BUGS) will be running lots of social events in the next few weeks and would be delighted to include you.

Please message them on Facebook if you would like to receive further details.

Student Welcome Meeting

We will be holding a student welcome meeting with free food, activities and information about volunteering with us here in Bath. If you are looking for a unit to help, or if your timetable has changed this term and you need to move units, then come along and we’ll find the right unit for you.

Date: Wednesday 4th October 2017
Time: 7pm
Location: Bath Guide HQ, 88 Walcot Street, Bath, BA1 5BD

RSVP on Facebook or email info@girlguidingbath.org.uk to let us know you will be coming.

Bath Spa Rep

We are looking an enthusiastic Bath Spa student to act as our Bath Spa Rep this year. This will involve:

  • Attending Division Exec meetings (three per year) to help us decide how best to meet the needs of our girls and volunteers in Bath
  • Being a point of contact for other students looking to volunteer with Girlguiding
  • Helping us to identify new ways to promote Girlguiding to other Bath Spa students

If this sounds like something you would like to do, or if you’d like to know more about the role, please email divisioncommissioner@girlguidingbath.org.uk.

Flexible Volunteering

We recognise that some people can’t commit to helping with a unit every week, or want to take their time settling in during their first year at university.

If that’s you, then do let us know. We have a variety of volunteering roles that don’t require a regular weekly commitment, or we can just keep you in the loop until you are ready to get stuck in.

We hope you all have a fantastic Freshers’ Week!
