This summer the South West Region INTOPS trip is heading off to Morocco. Over two weeks, 4 Leaders and 16 young members will be trekking in the Atlas Mountains, building an irrigation system to supply running water to 150 families, camel trekking in the Sahara Desert and exploring the culture of Morocco.
One of the leaders, Anya, is a Guide leader in Bath and has helped to design a challenge badge to help the leaders fund raise for their trip.
Badges are £1 each plus p&p and the order form is in the challenge pack.
The optional challenge pack is split into 3 sections, Food, Culture and Games, and contains links to the programme for different sections. It includes classic activities such as making crepe pancakes and having a pancake flipping race, to making some of the more unusual pancakes from around the world, trying out a game of shrovetide and exploring the differnt festivals of Lent that occur around the world. There is even a recipe for making Moroccan pancakes!
