Girlguiding are partnering with Pudsey, raising much needed money for BBC Children in Need and guiding everywhere. As with our previous BBC Children in Need fundraising, the money raised will be split equally between BBC Children in Need and Girlguiding to help make a difference to young lives in communities across the UK. The funding will support Girlguiding at a local and national level to benefit girls the length and breadth of the UK. There will be a special badge available at £1.50.
Girlguiding are also partnering with the Royal British Legion. We’ve created a brand new badge design for 2022 which will go on sale later in the summer. This year’s woven and metal badge design represents the heart-warming story of how Girlguiding members supported the war effort by collecting cotton reels for the military during the war to hide maps, messages, and other military intelligence. Each woven badge comes with a leaflet telling the story of our impressive efforts to help during the war. Metal badges come on a backing card. Remembrance Day badges are £2 for woven and £2.50 metal.
You’re also welcome to send in general unit orders for the term ahead, with flexible delivery options available. Remember that there are no postage costs for ordering via our shop, and we also offer a reward scheme, so using the shop saves unit’s money.
Most uniform is now back in stock and the shop will have a good supply when we re-open in September. If you have a large intake of new girls, the depot team can visit your unit meeting for girls to try on and buy uniform.
