Every unit should be working towards having at least one leader trained to Level 3 Safe Space. If you hold a residential licence, you should also complete Levels 1-3 of Safe Space training. By 2020, everyone needs to have correct level of Safe Space training for their role.
This is an essential part of our drive to ensure that all of our girls and volunteers have fun in a safe environment when they are with us, so we really appreciate you dedicating your time to this training.
You can find out more about Safe Space training here, and find links to help you complete Levels 1 and 2 via elearning.
Girlguiding will recognise a previous qualification, professional experience, or external training received in child or adult protection as a replacement for the face-to-face Level 3 training. Click here to find out if your prior experience can be taken into account and contact your District Commissioner for further details.
