The University of Bath’s Women’s Engineering Society (WESBath) group are available to offer engineering and science sessions for Brownies and Guides in Bath.

WESBath formed a few years ago and one of their main aims is to promote a career in engineering to younger students in the local area by engaging with young people and sharing knowledge.

They have developed some activities that demonstrate how engineering can be fun and that could also fit into the Brownies and Guides Science Investigator badges.

They have a group of students who are really keen to get out into the community to demonstrate that engineering is not just for boys!

Plans for two activities to giving you a flavour or the sort of thing they can offer are available on request. The group are able to travel in and around the Bath area so location is not a problem.

Over the last year, they have run sessions for:

  • 12th Bath (Upper Weston) Brownies
  • Bath Rush Hill Guides
  • Walcot Rangers
  • 10th Bath (Argyle) Brownies
